Murakaza Neza (Welcome) to my website.  I am currently volunteering at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda. To follow my adventures in Rwanda, visit my blog: http://freeberde.wordpress.com.

This site provides an overview of my education and work experiences, as well as information about a few volunteer projects I have been involved with: Jewish Chicks Rock, JTS EcoReps and Addressing Evaded Issues in Jewish Education.

In May 2009, I completed the Master’s program at the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary and earned a degree in Informal Jewish Education.

HISTORY

Born and raised in Washington state, I moved to New York City in 2002.  Despite living in NYC for more than seven years, I still consider myself a true Northwest girl and love the outdoors, skiing, and ultimate frisbee. I like to believe that recycling actually helps the planet, and I enjoy meeting new people, photography, and traveling.
